I'm not running a business from this address. If it's possible to pass feedback on, please let the relevant people know:Ī) As far as I'm concerned, you don't have a leg to stand on. They've said they'd help, and they haven't. Literally, all the 0800 800150 call handlers I've spoken to have lied to me. I'm just at a loss as to why I've had to kick up this amount of fuss? I'll see what happens next month.Īll my communications via email or phone with BT fire-fighters (forum and Twitter teams) have been nothing but positive. The more you try and delay / prevent me from getting them, the more likely it is I will switch to Virgin or a different service provider as soon as soon as the option becomes available. I will continue to ask for these until I receive them. But I need anyone from BT reading to know this: The "Don't receive VAT invoices" button is still selected. I ask for a reference number, she gives me: redacted The advisor I speak to apologises and says the changes I requested the first time haven't been actioned. I have absolutely no need for it.ģ) 23/04/18 I call BT a second time. No: I do not need or want a separate business line. I was on the VAT flat rate scheme but am moving to standard VAT. I claim a percentage of my home costs as expenses. I'm a VAT-registered sole trader, not a limited company. Lo and behold! BT don't like providing VAT invoices! Why? They want customers to take out separate business lines. I receive an email from BT confirming my order, however, it says nothing about displaying VAT! Only that my bills will: "be in English, be online, itemise every number you've dialled".īy this time I'm a bit suspicious and do some Googling. However, he says he can help and promises to update my settings and that a) I will be able to download a VAT invoice for the bill dated 22/04/18 and b) all subsequent invoices will show VAT. I hold and am put through to a second advisor who doesn't know why the call was transferred to him - it's a fresh call for him. The advisor puts me on hold so he can "put me through to someone who can help". They really don't want you to receive VAT invoices!Ģ) 23/04/18 I call BT for the first time. Each time I come back to that page, the "Don't receive VAT invoices" button is still selected. Which is fine, but the problem is that when you click the "Save Changes" button, it doesn't save the change. By following the "Change how you receive your bill" link it's possible to end up at a page that displays the following: I thought I'd write down the steps I've taken so far to try and achieve this.ġ) I've manually attempted to do this by logging on to My BT. I would like BT to provide me with a VAT invoice for my last bill (22/04/18) and all subsequent invoices.
